Top Student Struggles with Mock Exams: Insights from 'Teachers 2'
In the latest episode of Channel A's variety show 'Teachers 2', renowned instructor Jeong Seung-jae offered advice to a high school student who, despite being the top of their class, struggles with mock exams.

Airing on the 3rd, the show featured a second-year high school student whose internal grades are nearly perfect, ranking first in their entire school. However, their mock exam results tell a different story.

The student, who attends a foreign language high school, revealed that while they maintain a top rank with near-perfect internal grades, their mock exam scores are less impressive, with a 4th grade in Korean and Math, and a 1st grade in English, placing them around 100th in the school.

Instructor Jo Jung-sik analyzed the student's English problems, identifying a lack of comprehension and interpretation skills, criticizing their habit of rote memorization. "You need to ask questions to interpret," he advised.

Jeong Seung-jae, addressing the student's 4th grade in Math, noted, "It seems like you've memorized Math as well. Internal exams are much harder than mock exams, and memorizing for internal exams has become a significant disadvantage for you."

He further explained, "You're focusing on perfect memorization, which makes it impossible to tackle mock exam questions."
