Korean announcer Um Ji-in opened up about the challenges of being a 'goose mom' living apart from her family.

On the October 3rd episode of KBS2's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears', Um Ji-in was seen preparing a special Korean language lecture.

During the episode, Um Ji-in, along with her fellow announcers, prepared a Korean language class for foreigners and invited Kim Jin-woong's mother, Park Jin-sook, as a guest lecturer, drawing attention.

After the class, Um Ji-in shared her thoughts on parenting with Park Jin-sook. She revealed, "My husband is a university professor in Japan. The kids live with their dad," highlighting her 'goose mom' lifestyle.

Um Ji-in further shared, "Even during video calls, the kids give short answers. My daughter is the same," and revealed messages exchanged with her children. She admitted, "Honestly, there are moments when I feel upset and disappointed, even though she's my daughter."

Park Jin-sook empathized, sharing her own experiences as a working mom who balanced work and parenting. She said, "I made sure to spend time with my kids, going on trips and enjoying good food together once a year," revealing her secret to building emotional bonds.

Um Ji-in's candid confession resonated with viewers, who commented, "The reality of 'goose parenting' hits home," and "I deeply empathize with her feelings as a mother."
