Yoo Jae-suk Expresses Pressure Over 'Seoul Music Festival' Success on 'Hangout with Yoo'

The episode featured the second round of auditions for the '80s MBC Seoul Music Festival.' Yoo Jae-suk, along with writers Haha, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung, conducted in-depth interviews with first-round participants Namsan Tower and Gongjak Shopping Center.
First up was Namsan Tower (Park Young-kyu), who showcased his talent with performances of 'Why Are You Crying' and 'MY WAY.' Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Would you be disappointed if you couldn't participate in the 'Seoul Music Festival'?" to which Park Young-kyu replied, "It's fate," adding, "It's a peculiar program to have invited me."

Yoo Jae-suk, an alumnus of Seoul Institute of the Arts, praised Park Young-kyu's passion, to which Park responded, "You need passion. Even as you age, you should dream. I wanted to sing," humorously changing his address to "Jae-suk hyung."
Next, Gongjak Shopping Center (Park Myung-soo) performed 'The One I Met by Chance' and 'Don't Say Goodbye' in a lower key. He commented, "I'm here because I'm not busy," and humorously added, "Do it all yourself, Jae-suk, I love you."

He added, "I didn't work hard before due to personal reasons, but now I'll work very hard. This is my last masterpiece on 'Hangout with Yoo.' It's a high position, so give me a spot," to which Yoo Jae-suk replied, "There's not enough justification for you to pass," postponing the announcement of Park Young-kyu and Park Myung-soo's results.
As the second round began, Yoo Jae-suk expressed his pressure, saying, "It really needs to go well. We have to show it to the higher-ups."

However, International Roller Rink (Lim Woo-il) with 'Is It Still a Dark Night' and Dongdaemun Stadium (Yoo Hee-kwan) with 'Apartment' were eliminated. Yoo Jae-suk commented, "It's fun, but not enough skill to participate in the music festival."
Finally, Noh Sa-yeon, the original singer of the popular '80s song 'Meeting,' made a surprise appearance as a participant from 'Dongbu Ichon-dong,' delivering an emotional performance. Yoo Jae-suk explained, "This is beyond our judging scope. It's a legendary support stage."
With the auditions concluded, Yoo Jae-suk announced, "Song selection is key for the 'Seoul Music Festival,' and we're accepting song requests from viewers," heightening anticipation for the '80s MBC Seoul Music Festival' set to take place on the 23rd.
