KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' to Air Special Tribute Episode Honoring Late Song Hae

KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' is set to air a special tribute episode dedicated to the late Song Hae.

'Immortal Songs' has been a leading music variety show for nearly 14 years, consistently ranking number one in its time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, the show recently achieved a 6.1% nationwide viewership rating for its 715th episode, marking its 127th consecutive week at the top of Saturday evening ratings.

The upcoming special episode, 'Immortal Songs - Song Hae Music Festival,' is drawing attention as it will feature six popular trot singers—Lim Young-woong, Young Tak, Lee Chan-won, Jeong Dong-won, Jang Min-ho, and Kim Hee-jae—who all had connections with Song Hae during their early careers through the 'National Singing Contest.' This episode previously garnered a 13.3% viewership rating, creating significant buzz.

The special holds additional significance as it will showcase moments from Song Hae's life, celebrating his warm personality and lasting impact on the entertainment industry. The episode promises to evoke emotions by revisiting heartfelt memories shared between Song Hae and the six trot stars.

Viewers can also look forward to seeing the youthful charm of Lee Chan-won, who currently serves as the show's MC, along with untold stories from the early careers of Lim Young-woong, Young Tak, Jeong Dong-won, Jang Min-ho, and Kim Hee-jae, who are now leading figures in the trot music scene.

Meanwhile, the 'Immortal Songs - Rock Festival in Ulsan' special, originally scheduled, will be postponed by a week and will air on August 2nd and August 9th at 6:05 PM.
