Former Announcer Song Kwang-ja Embarks on Acting Career at 70, Proving Age is Just a Number

On the October 19th episode of MBN's 'Sokpuli Show Dongchimi,' Song Kwang-ja appeared to discuss her debut as an actress at the age of 70.
During the broadcast, Song revealed, "I started my career as a KBS announcer in 1969," surprising many. She hosted shows like 'Whisper of the Night' and 'Quiz for a Million People.'
Regarding her departure from her announcer role, Song explained, "I was a target for restructuring during the IMF crisis. I was five years away from retirement and was contemplating whether to continue or not."

While continuing her acting career, she received a call from the casting director of 'Poksak Sokassuda' and, with the support of her children, decided to take on the role.
Her decision to embark on a new challenge at 70 demonstrates that age is never a barrier to pursuing one's dreams.
