Seohyun Faces Her Greatest Crisis in 'The Night I Took My Male Lead's First Night'
Seohyun's character faces her greatest crisis in the fantasy romance drama 'The Night I Took My Male Lead's First Night' as Ok Taecyeon's character is absent from her life.

In the 11th episode of KBS 2TV's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The Night I Took My Male Lead's First Night' (directed by Lee Woong-hee, Kang Soo-yeon, written by Jeon Sun-young, produced by StudioN and Monster Union), aired on the 16th, the news of the male lead Ibeon (played by Ok Taecyeon) being killed in action brings a whirlwind of change to the life of the supporting character Cha Seon-chek (played by Seohyun), shaking the direction of the fantasy romance.

Cha Seon-chek collapses after discovering an item identical to a keyring she had before being possessed. She learns from the shaman Seol-gi (played by Kim Ah-young) that the item was given to her after she expressed boredom with life, revealing it as the decisive medium that swapped the souls of the real-life college student K and the supporting character Cha Seon-chek.

Amidst this, the news of Ibeon's death in a surprise enemy attack reaches Cha Seon-chek. Unable to confirm the body, she reassures herself, saying, "The male lead doesn't die easily," but breaks down upon reading Ibeon's letter confessing his fear of leaving his beloved.

Meanwhile, in the royal palace, Prince Lee Gyu's (played by Lee Tae-sun) ambitions begin to stir. Gaining the king's trust by staying by his side during his illness, Lee Gyu successfully persuades the king to name him as the next monarch. When a minister mentions Gyeongseong-gun as a suitable candidate for the throne, Lee Gyu reveals his tyrannical nature by executing the minister for mentioning someone who defied the king's orders.

Lee Gyu's relentless ambition extends into personal matters. He proposes marriage to Cha Seon-chek in exchange for searching for Ibeon, and when she refuses, he frames her father, Cha Ho-yeol (played by Seo Hyun-chul), as a member of the Black Death group. To Cha Seon-chek's plea of innocence, he coldly responds, "This is the path you chose."

Just as the blade is about to fall on Cha Seon-chek, the scene abruptly shifts to reality. Cha Seon-chek, ejected from the novel, meets the real-life college student K, revealing that they have been living in each other's bodies. The supporting character Cha Seon-chek rises to the main character, and the novel is newly serialized, with the server currently down, as K learns in shock.

A mysterious child (played by Lee Joo-won) appears before them. The child, both the Moon Elder and the novel's author, reveals that the current story was written by Cha Seon-chek with K's soul inside her, offering them a chance to write the next scene in just three sentences, sparking curiosity.

With everything hinging on Cha Seon-chek's choice, the story unfolds from her fingertips. With a single line, "A bee flies onto the face of the scoundrel," she averts the crisis and immediately recites an idiom related to the Black Death group, creating an opportunity to confront Lee Gyu alone. She points out that the Black Death group, originally formed to check the tyrant, has lost its purpose and become corrupted, shaking Lee Gyu's resolve.

Despite Cha Seon-chek's efforts, Lee Gyu threatens her again, ordering her to be taken to his quarters. At that moment, Ibeon, presumed dead, appears. The return of the familiar face raises questions about how Ibeon survived, heightening anticipation for the next development.

The final episode of KBS 2TV's 'The Night I Took My Male Lead's First Night' airs on the 17th at 9:50 PM.
