K-Pop Star Kim Jaejoong Reveals Plans for a Big Family on 'Fun-Staurant'

K-Pop star Kim Jaejoong shared his plans for having children on the latest episode of KBS 2TV's 'Fun-Staurant'.

On the episode aired on the 11th, viewers got a glimpse into Kim Jaejoong's summer with his large family, as he is the youngest of nine siblings.

Kim set up an outdoor pool at his family home, commenting, "The kids love it when they come over." With five nieces and nephews present, he humorously noted, "It looks like a lot, but it's only a third of them."

While playing with his nieces and nephews, his sister jokingly told him, "You're a grandfather now," after one of his nieces gave birth, making him the first idol to become a grandfather at 39. Laughing, he remarked, "Does that make mom a great-grandmother now?"

When asked how many children he wants, Kim Jaejoong revealed, "Ideally, I'd like to have five. Three daughters and two sons sound perfect."

The show's hosts were taken aback by his idea of a large family, with MC Boom humorously warning, "This could be a marriage death sentence if it airs."

As Kim discussed his future family plans, his father chimed in, "You need someone to live with first. You need to meet a woman," while his mother added, "You need to get married first, whether you have one or five kids. Are you planning to have kids until you're 60 or 70?" Watching this, a young niece commented, "Uncle might cry," adding to the laughter.

Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong prepared treats like tanghulu and tornado potato hot dogs for his nieces and nephews. One of them expressed gratitude by giving him a 50,000 won allowance, which he accepted with a hug.

For a family game, Kim brought out a stack of cash, allowing his parents to grab as much as they could while blindfolded. His father won 250,000 won and shared it with his grandchildren and children, giving each daughter and son 1,000 won. Kim noted with a smile, "Even my sister, who turns 60 next year, was happy with her 1,000 won."
