TV CHOSUN's 'Lovers of Joseon' Captivates Viewers with Heartwarming Family Moments

The first-ever 'Lovers of Joseon' gathering brought together the 'second generation' stars Choi Sung-kook, Hwang Bo-ra, Son Bo-seung, and Kim Seung-hyun. Kim Hak-rae and Im Mi-sook's charming son, Kim Dong-young, surprised his parents by visiting their store with his match, Yae-eun, creating a delightful moment. Im Mi-sook even gifted Yae-eun a diamond ring, showing her affection. The episode achieved a 3.5% viewership rating in the metropolitan area, with a peak of 3.9%, securing the top spot among cable channels, according to Nielsen Korea.

The episode aired on the 30th on TV CHOSUN, featuring the 'second generation lovers.' The families took an hour to gather due to the children's diaper needs.

Choi Sung-kook's son Si-yoon, Hwang Bo-ra's son Woo-in, Lee Kyung-sil's grandson and Son Bo-seung's son Lee Hoon, and the only girl, Kim Seung-hyun's daughter Lee-yoon, attended the gathering. The eldest, Lee Hoon, played with his '20s dad' Son Bo-seung, while '50s dad' Choi Sung-kook tried to keep up with his son Si-yoon. Choi admitted, "Si-yoon doesn't know that world yet," and asked Son Bo-seung for a piggyback ride, expressing envy at Son's youthful energy.

Hwang Bo-ra was seen with scraped knees after playing with the energetic 'camera lover' Woo-in. She humorously complained, "Woo-in's dad doesn't even buy knee pads, only focuses on education... my legs are never fine." During mealtime, the parents shared their parenting challenges. Choi Sung-kook warmly suggested to Kim Ji-min, "Next year, you should join this gathering too."

The episode also featured Kim Dong-young's story a month after his blind date with 'stock market lady' Yae-eun. Im Mi-sook shared, "People say Dong-young is adorably quirky," and expressed her fondness for Yae-eun, joking, "In-laws should be generous, give money, and everything." Kim Hak-rae humorously added, "Give her the store too." However, Dong-young, wearing a snakeskin-patterned shirt, surprised everyone by saying, "Today might be the last meeting." He sought advice from his father, asking how he assured his mother. Im Mi-sook replied, "Your dad wasn't my type, but he quit smoking for me, giving me assurance," humorously adding, "I saved a man in his 50s."

As Dong-young left for his date with Yae-eun, the production team discreetly observed their interaction. The team informed Kim Hak-rae and Im Mi-sook that Dong-young complimented Yae-eun, saying, "Yae-eun is so pretty," to which Kim Hak-rae nodded, "That's a great sign."

Later, Dong-young and Yae-eun surprised everyone by visiting Kim Hak-rae's store. The couple's enthusiastic welcome was heartwarming, but their over-the-top hospitality made Choi Sung-kook uneasy, saying, "I'm getting nervous." Hwang Bo-ra also questioned, "Why did Yae-eun go there?" While Yae-eun stepped away, Kim Hak-rae and Im Mi-sook packed food for her, with Im Mi-sook excitedly suggesting, "Let's move to Yeouido (where Yae-eun lives), it's better if they're not far apart." Upon Yae-eun's return, the meal continued with Im Mi-sook expressing her fondness, saying, "Don't worry about the assets, they're under my name. I'll give everything to Yae-eun," even offering her diamond ring. As the conversation ended, Im Mi-sook watched them leave, emotionally saying, "I'm about to cry... I'm so happy."
