Romantic Sparks Fly on 'Old Friends Seeking Love' Season 2: Yacht and Bicycle Dates Steal the Show

On the episode aired on the 30th of last month on KBS Joy, KBS2, and GTV, the first preference selections were revealed, leading to one-on-one dates among those with shared interests. Notably, the 'mutual candle' couples, Lee Hyung-chul and Wax, and Park Kwang-jae and Kang Se-jung, experienced unexpected excitement during their preference dates.
Wax, who chose a yacht date, met with Lee Hyung-chul as anticipated. On their way to Cheongpyeong Lake, they shared personal stories and found common ground, discussing the challenges of meeting new people and their personalities. Lee Hyung-chul expressed his fondness for Wax, saying, "She listens well, like a friend, and we communicate effortlessly."
Upon arriving at Cheongpyeong Lake, the pair enjoyed a yacht date in the refreshing breeze. Lee Hyung-chul, who holds a yacht license, took the helm, showcasing his charm. Wax couldn't take her eyes off him, repeatedly complimenting him as "cool," and they both shouted out loud, savoring the sense of freedom.
Lee Hyung-chul reflected on the yacht date, saying, "It felt cozy. I sensed an indescribable charm and felt she could be very nurturing." Wax expressed her excitement, noting that Lee Hyung-chul seemed "like an innocent boy" while steering the yacht. The question remains whether this preference date will reignite the spark between them.

However, the tension quickly dissipated as they bonded over their shared profession as actors and discussed their dating styles, creating a warm atmosphere.
During their enjoyable date, they received a mission to "walk holding hands for three minutes." Park Kwang-jae, flustered, remarked, "My heart is racing," and placed Kang Se-jung's hand on his chest to let her feel his heartbeat, stirring excitement among viewers.
Their hand-holding walk resembled a scene from a romantic drama. Park Kwang-jae confessed, "It feels like we're filming a melodrama," while Kang Se-jung shared in a private interview, "I was so nervous. I could feel his nervousness too." Park Kwang-jae also revealed, "It's been so long since I felt this way. I was trembling as if something was wrong with my heart."
Meanwhile, Park Eun-hye and Lee Ki-chan chose a camping date, warmly reconnecting after 20 years. Lee Ki-chan admired 'camping expert' Park Eun-hye as she effortlessly set up the tent, saying, "It was unexpected and impressive." Park Eun-hye commented, "It's convenient to have a man around," to which Lee Ki-chan confidently replied, "Let's go together from now on."
Shin Bong-sun and Lee Sang-jun opted for a tennis date, showcasing their adorable chemistry. Despite Lee Sang-jun's clumsy tennis skills, Shin Bong-sun showered him with compliments, finding his efforts to learn tennis endearing.
Next week, the first dinner at the 'Old Friends Seeking Love House' will unfold after the preference dates. The preview released after the broadcast showed a tense moment between Lee Hyung-chul, who advised Wax to "drink a little," and Lee Sang-jun, who cautioned, "Don't drink too much because I'm worried," capturing viewers' attention. As time passes and relationships deepen, the evolving emotions of the 'Old Friends Seeking Love' members are eagerly anticipated.
Meanwhile, 'Old Friends Seeking Love' Season 2 airs every Monday at 9:50 PM on KBS Joy, KBS2, and GTV.
