Im Woo-il Opens Up About Life Changes Thanks to 'Radio Star' and More
Im Woo-il candidly shares how his life has transformed thanks to MBC's 'Radio Star,' from moving into a 'Han River view' apartment to receiving gifts from Yoo Jae-suk, and the behind-the-scenes story of a viral video with millions of views.

The upcoming episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' airing on the 2nd, features a special 'YouTube Stars' edition with guests Tablo, Im Woo-il, Tukutz, and Kim Won-hoon.

Im Woo-il reveals that after appearing on 'Radio Star,' he went on to feature in other popular shows like 'Hangout with Yoo' and 'I Live Alone.' He humorously shares, "I aimed for the Rookie Award at the MBC Entertainment Awards but ended up receiving the Popularity Award instead."

When asked about his role as Yoo Jae-suk's 'favorite doll' on 'Hangout with Yoo,' he explains, "I'm barely hanging on to the Yoo-line. While others can call him 'hyung,' I still refer to him as 'sunbaenim.'" He even sends a heartfelt video message to Yoo Jae-suk.

Im Woo-il also shares the story behind his Han River view apartment, which he revealed on 'I Live Alone.' He admits, "I was hesitant to show my home because I thought people might think I live too well," and adds, "I moved into the apartment previously rented by Oh Nami and am using everything from the fridge to the dining table as is."

He mentions that his home is filled with furniture and appliances gifted by friends, including Yoo Jae-suk. "Yoo Jae-suk gave me an envelope of cash, which I used to buy a washing machine. When I called to return the leftover money, he was surprised," Im Woo-il shares, causing laughter.

The modest appliances in his home have evoked sympathy from 'I Live Alone' viewers. Im Woo-il notes, "Some viewers were disappointed to see me living in an apartment," but he adds, "I want to give hope to my lesser-known friends. It's my first time living in a place with an elevator."

Im Woo-il, who once ran a parody-focused YouTube channel during his unknown days, also reveals the story behind a viral video that garnered millions of views. "People thought it was a real accident, and the comments flooded in," he says, adding, "Some even mistook me for a shopping host."
