Choo Ja-hyun Delivers a Stern Message to Junior Stars on 'Amazing Saturday'

Choo Ja-hyun made a memorable appearance on the latest episode of tvN's variety show 'Amazing Saturday,' which aired on the 28th. She was joined by her co-stars from the drama 'Gyeonu and Seonnyeo,' Choo Young-woo and Jo Yi-hyun.

During the episode, Choo Ja-hyun reminisced about her long-standing friendship with Shin Dong-yup, humorously noting, "I see a glimpse of Shin Dong-yup in his 20s on 'Amazing Saturday.'" When Shin Dong-yup jokingly claimed to be in his 40s, the cast members' sympathetic expressions brought laughter to the set.

Choo Ja-hyun playfully scolded the younger cast members, saying, "I've come to reprimand you all for teasing Dong-yup oppa too much. He was quite the entertainer back in the day. Watching him interact with younger colleagues on 'Amazing Saturday' reminds me of the old Shin Dong-yup, though he's a bit slower now. It's amusing yet touching, and I felt for him when the juniors were harsh. I thought, 'Don't you all age too?'" Her comments highlighted her affection for her contemporary, Shin Dong-yup.

Meanwhile, Choo Young-woo, making his first appearance on the show, was seated next to Park Na-rae, who was tasked with giving him 'special care.' When Park Na-rae expressed her excitement, Shin Dong-yup humorously warned her, "Don't get too excited over the guests."

Boom asked Choo Young-woo if being handsome was a burden. Choo candidly shared, "My character in the drama is supposed to be handsome, and it's a youth romance genre, so it should be exciting. But my personality doesn't align with acting like 'I'm handsome now' or 'I'm about to say a romantic line.' I struggle with cheesy scenes."

Choo Young-woo, a longtime fan of Kim Dong-hyun from his fighting days, expressed his confusion, saying, "Seeing Kim Dong-hyun is bewildering. He's a legendary fighter, but he's been doing variety shows for over a decade since 2013. Watching his fighting videos makes me wonder which is his true self." In response, Kim Dong-hyun, dressed as a fairy, humorously declared, "This is the real me," embracing his role as a variety show entertainer.

During the snack game, Park Na-rae waited to exchange her vegetable bread and red bean bread with Choo Young-woo, despite requests from Shin Dong-yup and Key. When Choo Young-woo finally answered correctly and returned to his seat, Shin Dong-yup humorously forced a bread exchange, causing laughter.

Later, when Jo Yi-hyun had the opportunity to exchange bread, she said, "If you're too sad, I won't exchange bread with Choo Young-woo." Park Na-rae quipped, "If I can't have it, I'd rather it be ruined," leaving everyone in stitches.
