Rising Star Choo Young-woo Talks Fame and Success on 'Salon Drip 2'

In episode 96 of the YouTube channel 'TEO Teo's 'Salon Drip 2', rising star Choo Young-woo made a guest appearance.

In the episode titled 'Exit with a Cartwheel? A Perfect... Ending', Choo Young-woo was asked by host Jang Do-yeon, "Do you feel like you're the trend of the moment?" Choo responded with a laugh, "I feel like I'm finally a son who can treat my friends to meals and do something for my parents." He added, "I usually don't wear hats or masks, and I greet people warmly when they recognize me."

Choo Young-woo mentioned that he is often spotted at gyms or parks. When Jang Do-yeon asked if he goes for walks, Choo replied, "I am very sensitive to the weather, and I have to go out when it's early summer weather."

Discussing his role in 'The Tale of Nokdu', Choo shared a humorous anecdote: "I wondered if the drama was doing well, and one day at a PC café, five guys recognized me and exclaimed, 'Hey, it's Nokdu!'"

Choo expressed his relief and happiness over the drama's success, saying, "I was so pleased that I played games with a smile." Jang Do-yeon asked how he feels about his rising popularity, to which Choo replied, "It's so much fun. I'm thrilled to be here and meeting seniors. I'm always excited to spot celebrities wherever I go."

Regarding his unanimous win for the 'Baeksang Arts Awards' Best New Actor, Jang Do-yeon asked if he had any inkling of the win. Choo replied, "Not at all. No one told me anything." He also mentioned, "When I turn on Netflix, 'The Tale of Nokdu' and 'Trauma Center' are ranked first and second, and I love seeing my work there. I even play it when friends visit."
