Explosive Kiss Scene and Rising Tensions in 'Good Boy' Episode 7
Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun left viewers breathless with a dramatic kiss scene in the latest episode of 'Good Boy.' Park's determination to fight on, despite setbacks, has heightened anticipation for the next episode. The show's ratings continue to climb, reaching 6.4% nationwide and 6.1% in the metropolitan area, marking a new record for the third consecutive week, according to Nielsen Korea.

In the episode aired on the 21st, Yoon Dong-joo (played by Park Bo-gum) and the special investigation team found themselves ensnared in Min Joo-young's (Oh Jung-se) scheme.

Yoon Dong-joo, unable to contain his anger after Jung Mi-ja (Seo Jung-yeon), someone more than family to him, was attacked, retaliated by punching Min Joo-young, causing injury. Min Joo-young used the recorded footage of the assault to demand Dong-joo's suspension and the disbandment of the special team, revealing his grand plan.

However, no one on the team blamed Dong-joo. Team leader Go Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae) worked tirelessly to prevent the team's dissolution, while Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun) comforted Dong-joo, assuring him that no one thought he was at fault. She even threw a fruit basket at Min Joo-young when he shamelessly visited Mi-ja in the hospital, countering his taunts with wit.

Despite the threat of disbandment, the special team pressed on. Analyzing the burner phone Dong-joo had secured, they uncovered a criminal cartel connecting various international crime organizations. The cartel, led by boss Baek Seok-chun (Ahn Se-ho) and the 'Dongbukhoe' gang, dominated the Chinatown area, while the Russian mafia smuggled weapons and drugs. The drug lord known as 'Magwi,' disguised as 'Kim Yeon-ha,' controlled drug supply across Asia. At the center of this web was Min Joo-young, a customs officer.

The investigation into the vast cartel seemed daunting, but Commissioner Jo Pan-yeol eventually announced the team's disbandment within a week. Dong-joo, determined to take full responsibility, left the disciplinary hearing after reciting a sportsmanship pledge. He confronted Min Joo-young, asking him to spare the team in exchange for taking hits himself. Min Joo-young, amused, had Dong-joo's former coach Oh Jong-gu (Jung Man-sik) deliver a heavy punch. Despite being knocked down and bleeding, Dong-joo's resilience led to the postponement of the team's disbandment.

This resolve moved Ji Han-na, who realized Dong-joo's only way to defeat Min Joo-young was to endure the blows better than anyone else. She promised never to give up, inspired by Dong-joo's determination to rise again, akin to wrestling's 'par terre' position. Her response was a passionate kiss, leaving viewers with a lasting impression.

As the fight for truth intensifies, Dong-joo's physical limits are tested, showing symptoms of potential brain damage from boxing. Meanwhile, the cartel, feeling the pressure from the investigation, begins to mobilize. Under Min Joo-young's command, figures like Magwi, Leo (Go Jun), Baek Seok-chun, and Oh Jong-gu gather, signaling a looming battle for control.

The next episode of JTBC's 'Good Boy' airs on the 22nd at 10:30 PM and will be available to global audiences via Amazon Prime Video.
