Lee Jung-hyun's Culinary Dream: A 30-Year Plan Comes to Life with a Massive Cooking Griddle

Lee Jung-hyun, who recently purchased an eight-story building worth 19.4 billion KRW for her doctor husband, has embarked on a 30-year plan.

On the October 20th episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release, Pyeonstorang,' the versatile goddess Lee Jung-hyun and kitchen gentleman Jang Min-ho showcased their culinary routines. Lee finally acquired her dream large cooking griddle, while Jang invited the Hwang Min-woo and Hwang Min-ho brothers to present the fourth installment of his 'Homakase' series.

Lee Jung-hyun started her day in her newly moved-in home. While the Seo-ah and Seo-woo sisters enjoyed their time, the kitchen caught everyone's attention. Lee's love for cooking was evident throughout the kitchen. She installed an island counter and a bar table facing each other to dine with family and friends while cooking. The large wooden cutting board, custom-ordered by Lee, was also impressive.

The massive cooking griddle was the highlight. Lee expressed, "I've always loved cooking, and owning a griddle was my dream," adding, "I've thought about it for 30 years." She couldn't hide her smile while cleaning the griddle. However, her husband foresaw the meticulous maintenance it would require and initially opposed its installation. He humorously remarked, "But since it was her lifelong wish..."

Lee Jung-hyun began her griddle cooking adventure. She prepared griddle steak, seafood, and a giant pancake to delight her husband's palate. Despite her novice griddle skills, her family's enjoyment brought a smile to her face. She also made a spicy-sweet plum bibim noodles, using her homemade plum pickles, to cap off the meal.

Lee reminisced about singer Jo Sung-mo, with whom she dominated the music scene in 1999, saying, "Seeing the plums reminds me of him." Her famous line from their joint commercial, "Good night, dream of me," became a catchphrase. Her husband's playful jealousy at the mention of Jo Sung-mo added humor. Their daughter, Seo-ah, perfectly mimicked her mother's line, adding to the charm. The delightful banter and delicious food made for a heartwarming family moment.

Jang Min-ho hosted the Hwang brothers, showcasing his 'Homakase' series. He mentioned the high demand for his 'Homakase' among celebrities. He prepared griddle cheese omelets, steak, and crab ramen tailored to the brothers' tastes. Initially skeptical, the brothers were soon captivated by Jang's culinary skills.

The playful dynamic between Jang and the Hwang brothers brought laughter. The nephews' teasing left Jang exhausted, adding to the comedic effect. Additionally, viewers were amazed by 13-year-old Hwang Min-ho's singing and drumming skills, and his revelation of earning 3 million KRW in pocket money from a single event. The episode ended with a teaser of a surprise guest, possibly Hwang Min-ho's girlfriend, sparking anticipation for the next episode.
