On the October 18th episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', the 298th episode featured Choo Young-woo, the breakout star of 2025.

During the show, Choo Young-woo shared the behind-the-scenes story of his debut, which led to his 2024 Rookie of the Year award after starring in 'Trauma Center' and 'The Tale of Mrs. Ock'.

Choo revealed that between 2021 and 2022, he auditioned for nearly every drama, only to face rejection each time. He candidly admitted, "I auditioned for well-known projects like 'Shroop', 'Penthouse', and 'D.P'. People often questioned if I was really from the Korea National University of Arts because my acting was so poor."

Choo continued, "I often heard people say, 'That guy needs to work harder.' Every opportunity was crucial, so I remember every piece of feedback."

In an interview, Choo confessed, "If I didn't become an actor, my father said our family isn't wealthy, so I needed to work to make a living. That made me determined to act until I die, and I decided to see it through to the end."

MC Yoo Jae-suk expressed amazement, saying, "Despite failing numerous auditions, it seems like you gained incredible experience and skills." Choo added, "Having the short-term goal of auditions made me live each day to the fullest, and I think that's how my acting improved."
