New tvN Drama 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' Promises a Unique First Love Adventure

Joy Hyun, Choo Young-woo, and Cha Kang-yoon embark on a mission to save their first love and ward off bad luck.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' (directed by Kim Yong-wan, written by Yang Ji-hoon, planned by CJ ENM, produced by Studio Dragon, Dexter Pictures, and Eocon Content Group) has released stills of the trio from Hwamok High School: Park Seong-ah (played by Joy Hyun), Bae Gyeon-woo (played by Choo Young-woo), and Pyo Ji-ho (played by Cha Kang-yoon).

'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' is a bold first love rescue romance of eighteen-year-olds, featuring a boy destined to die and an MZ generation shaman girl trying to prevent it. The story of high school shaman Park Seong-ah, who defies fate for her first love, and Bae Gyeon-woo, who seeks to reverse his destiny through the ordinary happiness she offers, promises to deliver fresh excitement.

Adding to the intrigue are the diverse stories of K-ghosts with as much personality as their backstories. Director Kim Yong-wan, known for his exceptional direction in various genres such as 'The Guest', 'The Cursed', and 'If You Wish Upon Me', teams up with the meticulous writer Yang Ji-hoon.

The released photos pique curiosity with Park Seong-ah and Pyo Ji-ho hovering around Bae Gyeon-woo. With only 21 days left to live, Bae Gyeon-woo's first love brings bad luck. Park Seong-ah, who has taken on the role of a human talisman to save him, launches a mission to ward off bad luck. Her determination to stay close to Bae Gyeon-woo, as the closer she sticks, the more effective she becomes, is evident in her relentless grip on his gym pants, showcasing her tearful struggle to protect her first love.

Bae Gyeon-woo's bewildered gaze at Park Seong-ah's unexpected actions also draws attention. His cautious demeanor towards Park Seong-ah, who constantly hovers around him and crosses boundaries without warning, hints at the challenging mission to ward off bad luck. Pyo Ji-ho's reaction, tilting his head in disbelief at Park Seong-ah's reckless determination, adds humor.

Bae Gyeon-woo's suspicion of Park Seong-ah and Pyo Ji-ho's unusual behavior is intriguing. The contrast between Park Seong-ah's nervousness under Bae Gyeon-woo's suspicious gaze and Pyo Ji-ho's smiling demeanor elicits laughter. Whether Park Seong-ah can break through Bae Gyeon-woo's defenses and succeed in her mission, and Pyo Ji-ho's role in the project to save Bae Gyeon-woo to protect Park Seong-ah, heightens anticipation.
