SLL Unveils Ambitious Lineup for Late 2025, Aiming for Profitability and Global Expansion
SLL has announced its lineup for the latter half of 2025.

On the 18th, SLL revealed plans to release over 20 dramas and variety shows, marking a significant step in its growth trajectory. Titles such as 'The Good Man,' 'Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Lawyers,' 'My Youth,' 'The Story of Manager Kim at a Major Company in Seoul,' 'Waiting for Kyungdo,' 'A Hundred Memories,' 'Love Me,' and 'The Moon Flows in This River' have been confirmed for JTBC and terrestrial broadcasting. SLL also stated, "With the launch of JTBC's Friday series, the regular production schedule will expand, ensuring a stable supply of content."

Among the anticipated releases, 'My Youth' stands out as a romantic drama featuring Song Joong-ki as Sunwoo Hae, who starts a normal life later than most, and Chun Woo-hee as Sung Jae-yeon, who must disrupt her first love's peace for her success. By the year's end, 'Waiting for Kyungdo,' a romantic comedy starring Park Seo-joon and Won Ji-an, will debut, following the story of two former lovers who reunite under scandalous circumstances.

OTT original series such as 'Cashier,' 'The Price of Confession,' 'Pine: The Country Bumpkins,' 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces,' and 'Unfriend' will also be available to viewers. Additionally, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3, 'Undertow,' and 'Task' are set to premiere on global OTT platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, starting July 16.

Studio Slam's variety shows, including 'Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War Season 2,' 'Crime Scene: Zero,' 'Sing Again 4,' and 'Top Class Makeup Survival: Just Makeup,' are also slated for release. 'Black and White Chef' Season 2 will feature chefs Baek Jong-won and Ahn Sung-jae as judges, while 'Just Makeup' will showcase K-beauty experts like MC Lee Hyori, makeup artist Jung Saem-mool, and beauty creator Risabae.

SLL reported a standalone operating profit of 7.5 billion KRW in 2024, marking a return to profitability. The company expects to achieve consolidated profitability by 2025, driven by the turnaround of its overseas production company, wiip. Since securing external investment in 2021, SLL has steadily increased content production, improving EBITDA from 87.1 billion KRW in 2023 to 102.1 billion KRW in 2024.

The company stated, "Through our core business of content production, we have enhanced profitability and cash flow. With the expansion of new releases and strengthened performance in key genres, including variety shows and music, we anticipate an over 50% increase in EBITDA by 2025 compared to the previous year."

SLL CEO Yoon Ki-yoon emphasized, "SLL aims to maximize profits through optimized content production, targeting a return to profitability by 2025. We will showcase a diverse range of content, including dramas, variety shows, global productions, and K-pop, in the latter half of the year. We have confirmed that our strategy is moving in a positive direction in the first half of the year, and if we achieve visible performance improvements, we may proceed with the initial public offering process in consultation with institutions."
