K-Pop Star Jeong Dong-won Expresses Strong Desire to Join the Marine Corps

K-pop singer Jeong Dong-won has revealed his earnest desire to enlist in the Marine Corps.

On the 12th, Jeong Dong-won uploaded a video titled "Am I Going to the Army?! (feat. Oh Jong-hyuk)" on his personal channel.

In the video, Jeong Dong-won invited Oh Jong-hyuk to his home and, while saluting, declared himself a "prospective marine," expressing his hope to join the Marine Corps.

Jeong Dong-won then showed his physical examination notice to Oh Jong-hyuk, who explained, "The physical exam is just the beginning; the real deal is the enlistment notice. Applying is the fastest way, and the Marine Corps is the first unit you can join."

Jeong Dong-won shared, "My father was part of the 707th Special Mission Group, so I heard a lot about the military growing up. If I'm going, I want to do it properly and come back as a man."

Oh Jong-hyuk responded, "I think Dong-won will go to the Marine Corps. I was the same. My father was in the military and strongly told me, 'I'm going to make sure you join the Marines.' Most people like him end up in the Marine Corps."

Jeong Dong-won expressed, "I feel good. I was thinking about joining the Marine Corps, and hearing from a senior who was in the reconnaissance unit gives me hope."
