Lee Ui-jung Opens Up About Marriage Challenges and Health Journey

Korean actress Lee Ui-jung recently shared her struggles with marriage.

On the October 12th episode of MBN's 'Special World,' the current life of the former youth star, known for her iconic lightning bolt hairstyle, was revealed.

During the episode, Lee Ui-jung disclosed that she is undergoing rehabilitation exercises with her boyfriend, a former judo athlete who is nine years her junior, following her recovery from a brain tumor.

When her boyfriend brought up the topic of marriage, Lee Ui-jung became emotional, saying, “It’s something everyone does, but I can’t do it like others.”

The show also provided an update on Lee Ui-jung's health.

Diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2006, she was declared cured after 15 years of extensive treatment and surgeries. Despite her recovery, she still takes 18 pills daily.

Lee Ui-jung explained, “I have to take them. It’s like eating to live; I take medicine to live.”

Lee Ui-jung debuted in 1989 on MBC TV's 'Bbo Bbo Bbo' and gained popularity through the sitcom 'Three Guys and Three Girls,' which humorously depicted the friendships and romances of college students living together.
