Choo Sung-hoon Jokes About Wife Yano Shiho Turning Into a Cockroach

Choo Sung-hoon humorously remarked that if his wife, Yano Shiho, turned into a cockroach, he would take over her bank account.

On the October 8th episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling,' Choo appeared as a special MC.

During the show, Choo revealed that he had a domestic dispute with his wife after showcasing their Tokyo home on his YouTube channel. He explained, “The production team asked me to introduce the house. I showed it as it was, without my wife's permission. When my wife showed our home on TV, it was clean, but I showed it comfortably.” This led to a comparison between the pristine home shown on Japanese TV and the more lived-in look on YouTube.

Choo added, “(The TV appearance) shows how it looks after cleaning. In reality, it looks like (the YouTube version) when people live in it. We fought a lot over this. At that time, the channel was gaining subscribers, but she wanted me to delete it all. I argued why I needed permission, saying we could just clean daily.”

Despite Yano Shiho being wealthy, she does not share her finances with her husband. When asked if he felt disappointed, Choo responded coolly, “It's her money, so it doesn't matter. Asking for money would be strange. She can spend what she earns however she wants.”

Choo also mentioned, “I don't tell her exactly how much I earn either. If I make 100 million, I say it's about 80 million. You can't be too upfront about it.”

When asked what he would do if Yano Shiho turned into a cockroach, Choo joked, “If I knew the cockroach was my wife, I'd take care of it. I'd take over the bank account, of course.” Shin Dong-yup chimed in, “Cockroaches can't spend money,” to which Choo replied, “Humans have to spend it. I'd use it gratefully. I'd need money to feed the cockroach.”
