Park Bo-gum Shines in 'Good Boy' with Emotional Depth and Intensity

In the third episode of JTBC's weekend drama 'Good Boy,' aired on the 7th, Yoon Dong-joo (played by Park Bo-gum) is seen grappling with despair after losing someone dear while pursuing the true culprit of a hit-and-run case.

Dong-joo suspects customs officer Joo-young (played by Oh Jung-se) as the perpetrator and relentlessly pressures him, causing tension with his unpredictable actions. Amidst this, the rivalry with Jong-hyun (played by Lee Sang-yi) over Hanna (played by Kim So-hyun) adds intrigue to the storyline.

Through this conflict, a traumatic past event that left a scar on the seemingly cheerful Dong-joo is revealed. During a boxing match with his cherished junior, Kyung-il (played by Lee Jung-ha), Dong-joo inflicted a severe injury, leading to Kyung-il's retirement. Dong-joo visits Kyung-il, who is wrongfully imprisoned for murder, and vows, "Just say the word that you didn't do it. I'll do whatever it takes to get you out."

However, the case concludes with Kyung-il's mysterious death in custody, ruled as suicide. Despite his profound grief and loss, Dong-joo remains determined, picking up small clues to uncover the truth. He is convinced that Joo-young, who owns a gold watch found at the crime scene, is the culprit. Dong-joo confronts him with a bold challenge, "Run if you can," delivering a gripping ending.

Park Bo-gum captivates viewers by portraying Yoon Dong-joo, a character who appears endlessly positive and bold yet harbors deep inner wounds. As he continues his pursuit of the real culprit after losing a loved one, audiences are eager to see what unfolds next.
