Rising Stars Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min Reunite for MBC's 'Bunny and the Boys'

Actors Roh Jeong-eui and Lee Chae-min, who previously starred together in the Netflix series 'Hierarchy,' are teaming up once again for MBC's 'Bunny and the Boys.' This time, they transition from high school roles to a college campus setting in a romance adapted from a popular webtoon.

On November 3, a press conference for the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Bunny and the Boys' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. The event was attended by actors Roh Jeong-eui, Lee Chae-min, Jo Jun-young, and director Kim Ji-hoon.

'Bunny and the Boys' follows the romantic escapades of the protagonist 'Bunny' as she navigates relationships with charming men after a disastrous first love. The series is based on a Kakao Webtoon that has amassed over 170 million views.

In the drama, Roh Jeong-eui plays 'Ban Hee-jin,' a top student in the sculpture department at Yein University, who finds herself torn between various attractive men. She shared, "I don't think I have a naturally lovely side, but I wanted to express the inherent charm of Bunny from the webtoon. I enjoyed the process, and I think that natural portrayal came through on camera."

When asked about the atmosphere on set with her handsome co-stars, Roh Jeong-eui replied, "As expected, it was a very happy and enjoyable shoot. Everyone was wonderful to work with, and I am grateful for the experience. It was a new adventure for me."

Lee Chae-min takes on the role of 'Hwang Jae-yeol,' a tsundere character. He commented, "Compared to my previous role in 'Hierarchy,' this character is the complete opposite, which was refreshing. Having already worked with Roh Jeong-eui, we communicated comfortably throughout the shoot."

He added, "I also enjoyed working with Jo Jun-young. Thanks to him, I could fully feel the warm emotions central to this romantic story."

Jo Jun-young portrays 'Cha Ji-won,' a second-generation chaebol who seemingly has it all. He expressed, "I was delighted to reunite with Roh Jeong-eui, having worked together before. She was very supportive on set, and I learned a lot from her."

He continued, "This was my first time working with Lee Chae-min, and unexpectedly, there were many bromantic elements, which made for a fun and lively set. Please look forward to it."

Director Kim Ji-hoon shared insights into the casting process for the three actors. He said, "I was a fan of Roh Jeong-eui and followed her work closely. Her acting skills are impressive, and she handled the challenging role with ease, adjusting her tone naturally to fit the situation."

He continued, "I happened to see Lee Chae-min in a project and was so impressed that I made a note of him. He seemed perfect for a charismatic role, and on set, he brought a sincere and lovable energy."

Regarding Jo Jun-young, Kim PD noted, "He came highly recommended by my peers. Although some of his works are yet to be released, I heard he is both handsome and captivating. From our first meeting, I sensed his determination, and by the second meeting, he had transformed, showing his dedication and passion."
