Comedian Lee Su-ji Addresses Controversy Over 'Daechi Mom' Character Allegedly Targeting Han Ga-in
Comedian Lee Su-ji expressed her disappointment over allegations that her 'Daechi Mom' character was a jab at actress Han Ga-in.

Lee Su-ji appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Oh My Girl Hyojung's Raise the Volume' on the 5th.

During the show, a listener asked Lee which character she puts the most effort into and how it was created. Lee mentioned her 'Daechi Mom' character, known for being passionate about her children's education, saying, "I put a lot of effort into every character. I uploaded 'Daechi Mom' with the intention of leaving it as a memory." She added, "The response was overwhelming and didn't go as I intended. There was pressure and misunderstandings, which is a bit disappointing."

She explained, "All characters are based on people around me, my own traits, and experiences." Lee shared her character creation process, saying, "My hobby is observing people. I even parodied my mother using a phone case with a cover. I watch people closely in cafes or restaurants." She humorously warned, "You might be next."

Lee Su-ji has been releasing fake documentary-style content on her YouTube channel. Among these, the 'Jamie Mom' character, a parent with a strong focus on education, gained attention. This led to some public speculation that Lee was imitating and targeting Han Ga-in, sparking controversy.
