K-Pop Star Kim Tae-yeon Reveals Connection with G-Dragon and Collaborates with Seodo Band on 'Immortal Songs'

The March 1st episode of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' will feature a special 'March 1st Independence Movement Day' edition titled 'The Sound of That Day, Awakening Today!' with performances by Jeong Dong-ha, Kim Ki-tae, La Poem, Seodo Band X Kim Tae-yeon, Kim Dong-hyun, and ONEWE.
In this episode, Seodo Band and Kim Tae-yeon will form a special team, capturing the audience's attention. When MC Lee Chan-won inquired about how this unique collaboration came to be, Seodo revealed, “We first appeared on 'Immortal Songs' together in 2020,” highlighting their special connection.
Seodo further shared, “Five years ago, she was so small and cute that I took pictures with her on my lap, but now she's a beautiful student. This time, I persuaded her to join me,” showing how their bond has continued over the years.
Notably, Kim Tae-yeon surprised everyone by spontaneously performing Seodo Band's new song live. Seodo commented with a smile, “She came in singing our new song during practice.”

Meanwhile, Kim Tae-yeon humorously expressed her admiration for ONEWE's Yonghoon, saying, “He's so handsome, I was shocked,” and jokingly added, “I don't think we can beat ONEWE because of their looks,” causing Seodo Band to laugh.
In other performances, Jeong Dong-ha will present a remix of Ahn Ye-eun's 'Song of Cell No. 8,' Kim Ki-tae will perform a remix of the national anthem and Yang Hee-eun's 'Evergreen Tree,' La Poem will sing 'Judgment Day' from the drama 'Bridal Mask,' and Seodo Band X Kim Tae-yeon will perform Shin Moon-hee's 'Beautiful Country.' Additionally, Kim Dong-hyun will perform 'Sora Sora Green Pine' by People Searching for Songs, and ONEWE will perform 'Independence Army Song.'
The producers of 'Immortal Songs' stated, “This special edition commemorates the 106th anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement Day. It is a time to honor the noble sacrifices and dedication of our ancestors and reflect on the significance of that day. Through music, we will revisit the cries for independence made by our people under Japanese oppression.”
