Shin Ha-kyun to Make Special Appearance in Mystery Thriller 'Pigsty'
Renowned actor Shin Ha-kyun is set to make a special appearance in the upcoming mystery thriller 'Pigsty'.

According to an exclusive report by TenAsia on the 13th, Shin Ha-kyun will be making a special appearance in Jang Ki-yong's next project, 'Pigsty'. Industry insiders reveal that while his role is more than a supporting one, his presence is as impactful as a lead character. Shin Ha-kyun has recently completed filming for 'Pigsty'.

'Pigsty' is a mystery thriller that follows Jin-woo, played by Jang Ki-yong, who loses his memory and finds himself stranded on a deserted island. He desperately seeks to recover his lost memories to survive among a bizarre family. The cast also includes Cha Seung-won, Park Hee-soon, Roh Jeong-eui, and Kim Dae-myung.

The film is based on a webtoon of the same name by Kim Kan-bi and Cheon Beom-sik, who also created the webtoon 'Sweet Home', which was adapted into a Netflix series. Directed and written by Kim Sang-man, who previously worked on the Netflix film 'Jeon, Ran' produced by Park Chan-wook, 'Pigsty' is slated for release this year.

Shin Ha-kyun was last seen in the tvN drama 'Thank You', which concluded in August last year. He played the role of Shin Cha-il, a legendary audit team leader. Through 'Thank You', which explored the rarely depicted world of audit teams, Shin Ha-kyun added another iconic character to his repertoire. The final episode of 'Thank You' achieved its highest viewership ratings both in the metropolitan area and nationwide, securing the top spot in its time slot across cable and general programming channels.
