Actor Son Seok-gu Reveals His First Love Was a Wealthy Thai Woman

Actor Son Seok-gu recently shared that his first love was a wealthy woman from Thailand, who was two years his senior.

On November 11, a video titled '[Love Inna] EP.9 The Guy I Know Well | This Month's Male Lead Son Seok-gu' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Yoo In Radio.' The show featured Yoo In-na as the host and Son Seok-gu as the guest.

Son Seok-gu recounted a humorous story from the set of the Disney+ drama 'Nine Puzzle,' where he found himself without snacks. He said, "There's always a snack table on set, and even if I'm full, I tend to eat if I see food. But the next day, there were only walnuts left." He added, "My co-star in 'Nine Puzzle' is Kim Da-mi, and she loves snacks too. Because of me, the snacks disappeared, and she was more upset than I was," eliciting laughter.

The broadcast was filled with stories about love, including the timing and methods of confessions. Yoo In-na asked Son Seok-gu about the ideal duration of a romantic interest phase. Son Seok-gu replied, "When I was younger, it was about a month, but now it's around three to six months."

Yoo In-na further inquired, "Would you prefer confessing through a text, after drinking, or sober at a playground?" Son Seok-gu humorously responded, "I'd go to a quiet playground in Itaewon to confess. If I get a 'YES,' we should go to a nice restaurant for a meal."

Son Seok-gu also shared details about his first love. When asked if he had received many confessions, he said, "I've never been confessed to as a first love," and began to talk about his own first love. He revealed, "She was my first love, and I believe I was hers too. She was wealthy," he said with a smile.

He continued, "At the time, I didn't know she was so well-off. She was a senior at school, and I was in my first year of high school while she was in her third. After we broke up, I stumbled upon her SNS and saw a picture of her in front of a waterfall. It turned out that the waterfall was at her house. She was quite something. I understood why her brother didn't like me."

In 2019, it was revealed that Son Seok-gu was the CEO of a machine tool manufacturing company in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, which generated an annual revenue of 5.5 billion KRW. He reportedly owns more than 30% of the company's shares. Currently, he is focusing solely on his acting career.
