tvN's 'Love on a Tightrope': Yoon Ji-won Struggles with Kiss Aftermath
'Love on a Tightrope' (directed by Park Joon-hwa and Bae Hee-young, written by Lim Ye-jin) is a romantic drama about Seok Ji-won and Yoon Ji-won, born on the same day with the same name in rival families. After a painful separation at eighteen, they reunite 18 years later, igniting a war-like romance.
In the recent episode 5, the comedic tension between Seok Ji-won (played by Joo Ji-hoon) and Gong Moon-soo (played by Lee Si-woo) over Yoon Ji-won (played by Jung Yoo-mi) provided laughs. Despite a cold atmosphere following a fight between Yoon Jae-ho (played by Kim Kap-soo) and Seok Kyung-tae (played by Lee Byung-joon), Seok Ji-won discovers a box of memories from their secret past romance in Yoon Ji-won's attic, sparking tender emotions. The episode ended with Seok Ji-won passionately kissing Yoon Ji-won, who was nursing him, sending dopamine levels soaring.
In newly released stills, Yoon Ji-won is seen running on a track under a bright moon, seemingly trying to clear her mind, reminiscent of Yoon Jae-ho's advice to run when thoughts are overwhelming. Her complex expression suggests she's still haunted by the memory of the kiss with Seok Ji-won.
Another still shows Seok Ji-won offering a hand to Yoon Ji-won after she falls on the track, capturing attention. Yoon Ji-won glares at Seok Ji-won with a mix of resentment and frustration, raising curiosity about how their relationship will evolve after the dreamlike kiss.
The production team of 'Love on a Tightrope' commented, "Yoon Ji-won is experiencing an intense aftermath from the kiss, with her gaze naturally drawn to Seok Ji-won's lips." They added, "Expect a new turning point in their playful romance."
