Jinyoung of B1A4 Praises Chemistry with Jung Ji-so in Upcoming Drama 'Suspicious Her'
Jinyoung, formerly of the group B1A4, has expressed his admiration for working alongside Jung Ji-so.

The new KBS 2TV drama 'Suspicious Her' is set to premiere on Wednesday, the 18th. This romantic musical growth drama tells the story of a seventy-year-old grandmother, Oh Mal-soon, who suddenly transforms into a twenty-year-old, Oh Doo-ri. She seizes the opportunity to pursue her long-lost dream of becoming a singer, reliving her golden days. The drama, a remake of the film of the same name, promises expanded characters and storylines, capturing the attention of prospective viewers.

In the drama, Jinyoung plays Daniel Han, the former leader of the popular idol group Ignis and now the chief producer at Eunice Entertainment. He discovers Emily (played by Jung Ji-so), a trainee with a unique sensibility, and selects her as the center of his girl group project. However, Emily's sudden disappearance throws him into confusion. Amidst this chaos, he encounters Oh Doo-ri, who shares Emily's face but possesses an upgraded emotional depth, and he embarks on a journey to debut her as the group's center.

Jinyoung describes 'Suspicious Her' as 'happiness,' stating, "Our work is more bright and happy than dark. I consider the word 'happiness' very important, and when I think of 'Suspicious Her,' happiness is the first thing that comes to mind."

Highlighting the differences between the film and the drama, Jinyoung notes, "There are many differences in content and setting. The addition of the idol girl group training setting is probably the biggest change. In the film, I appeared as a grandson, but this time, I take on a completely different role as a producer. It feels like a role that requires more maturity."

Jinyoung, who described the filming process as smooth, shared, "I had many conversations with Ji-so before shooting. Ji-so is an excellent actress, and working with her taught me a lot. You can look forward to the synergy and chemistry we've created together."

In the recently released spring character poster, Jinyoung's perfect visuals captivate the audience. The tagline, "Once a star idol, now a clumsy producer?!" piques curiosity about the reasons behind his fall from stardom. With an expanded storyline, viewers eagerly anticipate Jinyoung's new acting transformation, distinct from the film.

'Suspicious Her' will premiere on the 18th, following 'Face Me.'
