Park Se-ri's Ambitious 'Seri Park' Project: A New Era of Island Leisure
Park Se-ri, the renowned figure, has successfully completed the ambitious 'Seri Park' project after pushing her team to their limits.
On the 25th episode of MBC's variety show 'If You Rest, It's a Relief' (hereafter 'Rest Relief'), aired on the 11th, the story of Park Se-ri, a high-profile executive challenger, unfolded alongside her supporting executives Kim Dae-ho, Kim Min-kyung, and Golden Child's Jang Jun. Park Se-ri captivated viewers with her grand-scale operation of a 0.5-star deserted island.
Upon arriving at the 0.5-star deserted island, Park Se-ri declared, "I've come to take over the island," showcasing her unique ambition. In the studio, 'CEO Ahn' Ahn Jung-hwan expressed concern, saying, "Executive Kim Dae-ho shouldn't be intimidated," but on the island, Dae-ho was visibly nervous under Park Se-ri's charismatic presence.
Park Se-ri's first plan to take over the island was to establish 'Seri Park' on the deserted island. She decided to develop the sea behind the 0.5-star island, which even Ahn Jung-hwan hesitated to develop, into a comprehensive leisure complex for guests. Park Se-ri and her team first installed a safety line connecting the ends of the island. The task of crossing approximately 200 meters of sea with a non-motorized boat to install the safety line rapidly drained their energy.
However, giving up was not in Park Se-ri's vocabulary. She stated, "Once I start, I keep going until I'm satisfied," and despite the challenges, she completed the task. As a result, they secured a vast safety zone three times larger than the existing kayak zone, creating a leisure space.
Park Se-ri then aimed to create a 'Self-Crab Bar' at Seri Park, similar to a snack corner, where guests could catch and fry crabs themselves. To achieve this, Park Se-ri and Kim Dae-ho caught crabs, while Kim Min-kyung and Jang Jun transported materials to set up a self-cooking kitchen. In the process, Park Se-ri passionately threw herself to the ground to catch crabs under rocks. During a demonstration, Jang Jun accidentally overturned a container of crabs into the sea, causing a major mishap. As the crabs escaped, Park Se-ri silently observed. The team worked hard to recapture the crabs that had fled to the sea, eventually securing a similar quantity to the initial catch. Park Se-ri then created crispy and delicious crab fritters, making the 'Self-Crab Bar' a promising attraction at Seri Park.
Park Se-ri's plans didn't stop there. When her secret weapon, the 'water bicycle,' was unveiled, everyone was amazed. Kim Dae-ho and Jang Jun, who tested the water bicycle, were impressed by its speed and stability. With the addition of kayaks, water balls, and water bicycles, a water leisure zone was established. Additionally, a fishing zone was set up at the prime spot, completing Seri Park, which rivaled luxury resorts.
Park Se-ri and her team ventured into the sea to prepare dinner for the guests. Despite reaching the golden fishing spot mentioned by Kim Dae-ho, they struggled to catch large seafood. Kim Dae-ho and Jang Jun continued to retrieve only conchs, and Park Se-ri and Kim Min-kyung faced similar challenges on the rocky shore. Frustrated by the inability to fill the large bowl she brought to serve ample food to guests, Park Se-ri's anger grew.
Kim Dae-ho, feeling the pressure from Park Se-ri's frustration, was visibly anxious, and even Ahn Jung-hwan said, "I won't watch," turning away. As they struggled to fill even a bucket, Kim Dae-ho, determined, said, "Let's go all in," and re-entered the water. He dramatically discovered an octopus and, after a fierce struggle, caught it, finally bringing a smile to Park Se-ri's face.
Although Park Se-ri was not entirely satisfied, saying, "I've never caught so little," she demonstrated her ability to create a large quantity of dishes with limited ingredients. She prepared 'Lid-Cooked Octopus Stir-Fry,' 'Conch and Goosefoot Noodles,' and 'Clear Seafood Hot Pot' for dinner. Park Se-ri's cooking process was unique, using large bowls for seasoning and ensuring everything was made in large quantities while maintaining flavor, impressing everyone.
Notably, for the first time on 'Rest Relief,' food was served to guests directly on the lid. Additionally, Kim Dae-ho's idea to keep the hot pot warm by placing it on charcoal added a special touch. After serving guests with an abundance of food, there was still plenty left for the staff to enjoy, showcasing Park Se-ri's generous cooking.
Meanwhile, the preview at the end of the broadcast teased the appearance of a large cauldron for the first time on 'Rest Relief,' sparking anticipation for the new dish Park Se-ri will create.
