Kim Kwang-soo Receives Apology from Kim Jong-kook
Kim Kwang-soo, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, has addressed the 'Turbo assault rumors' and revealed that he received an apology from Kim Jong-kook.
On the recent episode of MBN's 'Let's Go Season 3' aired on the 9th, Kim Kwang-soo, known as the 'Midas of the entertainment world,' made an appearance.
During the show, Hong Hyun-hee directly asked Kim Kwang-soo if he had assaulted Turbo. In response, Kim explained, "In 1988, I made a comeback with 'To Heaven.' At that time, the entertainment industry in Korea was just beginning to go public. SM Entertainment was going public around then. Our company only had artists like Jo Sung-mo and M to M, so we wanted to strengthen our lineup." He continued, "There was a company called DoOmi Records back then. When we merged with that company, Turbo became part of our label. It was something that happened at their previous company, but when it was mentioned on a broadcast, it seemed like it was under my management." This is how he explained becoming the subject of the 'Turbo assault rumors.'
In the past, Turbo's Kim Jung-nam had exposed the violence of a former agency's CEO, saying, "Having ashtrays and chairs thrown at you was a blessing. You could just go to the hospital and get stitched up." Mikey also added, "The CEO dragged Kim Jong-kook to the basement and assaulted him. When you entered the CEO's office, you could hear things breaking and the sounds of hitting."
Kim Kwang-soo expressed his frustration, saying, "A few years ago, I met Jong-kook for a meal. I told him, 'Because of you, I've become known as someone who hit you,' and he replied, 'I know, I'm so sorry about that.'"
