Kim Se-jeong Closes the Gap with Lee Jong-won in 'Intoxicating Romance'
In the second episode of the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Intoxicating Romance' aired on the 5th, Kim Se-jeong's character, Chae Yong-joo, was depicted persistently knocking on the door of the seemingly impenetrable Yoon Min-joo, played by Lee Jong-won. Yoon Min-joo, who anticipated an emotional overload and declared a 'block,' found his barriers gradually dismantled by Chae Yong-joo, who came right up to him. The thrilling close encounter between Chae Yong-joo and Yoon Min-joo raised the heartbeat of viewers, setting the stage for an exciting romance.
Unlike his usual self, who ignored others' emotions, Yoon Min-joo found himself unfamiliar with his concern for Chae Yong-joo. Meanwhile, at the Busan branch of Jisang Brewery, the head of the marketing team offered Chae Yong-joo a scouting proposal. The condition was that bringing in Yoon Min-joo, the creator of 'In My Name,' could save the Busan branch. Chae Yong-joo passionately declared, "I will definitely bring him in."
On her first day at the headquarters, the determined ace of the Busan branch, Chae Yong-joo, headed to Baegok-ri, where Yoon Min-joo was. They instantly recognized each other, reminiscent of their first meeting. Yoon Min-joo read the desperation and earnestness in Chae Yong-joo, who ran out barefoot to persuade him. Sensing danger from Chae Yong-joo's unusually strong emotions, Yoon Min-joo drew a line to protect himself, saying, "I will block you from now on." However, Chae Yong-joo was relentless. Demonstrating his special forces background, he descended from the roof using a rope to check on Yoon Min-joo's safety amidst smoke coming from his room, declaring "block returned," leaving Yoon Min-joo speechless.
Despite Chae Yong-joo's bulldozer-like persistence, Yoon Min-joo remained unshaken. Realizing that ordinary methods wouldn't work, Chae Yong-joo's competitive spirit ignited. When village chief Lee (played by Jang Hyuk-jin) lamented the lack of workers, Chae Yong-joo cheekily seized the opportunity, saying, "Shall I start working here from tomorrow?" Contrary to his ambitions, Chae Yong-joo faced challenges from the village entrance the next day due to a ban on his approach. Undeterred, Chae Yong-joo won over the villagers with his tailored strategies, reminiscent of his past as a sales king, successfully entering the village.
While searching for the advancing Chae Yong-joo, Yoon Min-joo discovered someone working dangerously at a farm. Assuming it was Go Sook-ja (played by Baek Hyun-joo) and Shim Young-ja (played by Park Ji-ah), Yoon Min-joo shouted for them to come down worriedly, only to find it was Chae Yong-joo who jumped off the ladder. The suddenly narrowed distance between them brought a fluttering excitement.
