KBS 2TV's 'Cinderella Game' Confirms Star-Studded Cast for December Premiere
The upcoming KBS 2TV daily drama 'Cinderella Game' has finalized its cast with actors Han Groo, Choi Sang, Park Ri-won, and Kwon Do-hyung, completing an irreplaceable lineup.
Scheduled to premiere in December, 'Cinderella Game' tells the story of a woman who, used as a fake daughter by her enemy, becomes an embodiment of revenge, only to discover the true meaning of vengeance and undergo growth and healing.
Directed by Lee Hyun-kyung, known for her sensuous direction in works like 'Let's Grab the Collar Once' and KBS Drama Special 'Confession Attack', and written by Oh Sang-hee, celebrated for her addictive storytelling in 'Elegant Mother and Daughter', 'The Rich Son', and 'The Sons', the drama promises to captivate viewers. With Han Groo, Choi Sang, Park Ri-won, and Kwon Do-hyung confirmed as the leads, anticipation is building.
Han Groo takes on the role of Goo Ha-na, a passionate young breadwinner full of life and responsibility. She transforms from a sacrificial icon to a vengeful spirit upon discovering her identity as a fake daughter. Known for her solid acting in 'Naughty Kiss', 'Marriage, Not Dating', and 'One Warm Word', Han Groo returns to daily dramas after 12 years, drawing attention to her potential in this new role. Born in 1992, she announced her divorce in 2022 after seven years of marriage and currently holds custody of her two children.
Choi Sang transforms into Hwang Jin-goo, the president of Hyesung Tour under Hyesung Group, who has earned deep trust by elevating the company to the second rank in the industry at a young age. Entangled in a complicated relationship with Goo Ha-na (played by Han Groo), he gradually develops feelings of empathy for her. Known for his roles in 'Again My Life' and 'Cinderella and the Four Knights', Choi Sang's performance in this drama is highly anticipated.
Park Ri-won has been cast as Yoon Se-young, the team leader of the product planning team at Hyesung Tour under Hyesung Group, who has been exposed to power and desire from an early age due to her mother's gaslighting. She frequently clashes with Goo Ha-na. Having appeared in various works such as 'Bora! Deborah', 'Unicorn', and 'Nevertheless', Park Ri-won takes on her first villain role in this drama.
Kwon Do-hyung plays Goo Ji-seok, Goo Ha-na's younger brother, who is the cold and vengeful head of the Hyesung Group's general headquarters. He is a ruthless character willing to abandon family and love for revenge. Emerging as a rising star with three projects last year, including 'Shining Watermelon', 'National Death Penalty Vote', and 'The Secret Romantic Guesthouse', Kwon Do-hyung is expected to deliver an exceptional performance in this drama.
The production team stated, "With actors like Han Groo, Choi Sang, Park Ri-won, and Kwon Do-hyung, each packed with unique charm, the drama's immersion will be enhanced. With a solid storyline and actors armed with unparalleled acting skills, we promise a revenge drama like no other. Please look forward to it."
'Cinderella Game' is set to premiere in December as the successor to 'Scandal'.
