Mister Trot 3: The Reunion of Top 5 Stars from Season 1
On the 23rd, TV CHOSUN announced, "The five brothers from 'Mister Trot' Season 1, Jang Min-ho, Young Tak, Kim Hee-jae, Lee Chan-won, and Jeong Dong-won, will join 'Mister Trot 3' as masters." This revelation has heightened the anticipation of prospective viewers as it marks the first major change in the master lineup for the upcoming season.
The five stars, who rose to the top 7 in the first season of 'Mister Trot' in 2020 and became leading figures in the Korean trot scene, are coming together once again for 'Mister Trot 3'. Although they have individually appeared as masters in the 'Mister Trot' and 'Miss Trot' series, this is the first time since 'Miss Trot 2' that all five will judge together.
Since the end of the competition, the five from 'Mister Trot' Season 1 have maintained their top positions in the trot and entertainment industries. Given that it has been challenging to see them together since the end of 'Love Call Center', their joint participation as masters in 'Mister Trot 3' significantly raises interest in the show.
The inclusion of the original five masters from 'Mister Trot 1' ensures that 'Mister Trot 3' retains its authenticity as a premier trot institution. This collaboration with national stars produced by the 'Mister Trot' and 'Miss Trot' series underscores the show's role as a cradle for future trot stars.
With the new judging format of 'Mister Trot 3', attention is also focused on the fresh perspectives these masters will bring. Jang Min-ho, the eldest who has consistently participated as a master in the 'Mister Trot' and 'Miss Trot' series, shared, "This time, it's especially enjoyable and reassuring to be with my younger brothers. Please look forward to the evolved appearances of the five, including our youngest, Dong-won, who has firmly established himself as a senior singer."
Previously, 'Mister Trot 3' hinted at changes in the judging format and announced that there would be changes in the master lineup. Following the inclusion of Jang Min-ho, Young Tak, Kim Hee-jae, Lee Chan-won, and Jeong Dong-won from 'Mister Trot 1', more new masters will be revealed.
'Mister Trot 3' is a leading trot audition program that sparked a trot syndrome. It promises the emergence of the third trot emperor, following in the footsteps of Lim Young-woong and Ahn Sung-hoon. The show aims to air by the end of the year, with participant recruitment closing on the 24th.
