Jin-young revealed that her ex-husband's infidelity was the reason for their divorce
'Love After Divorce 6' participant Jin-young revealed that her ex-husband's infidelity was the reason for their divorce.
On the 19th episode of MBN's 'Love After Divorce 6,' participants shared their reasons for divorce one by one.
Jin-young, who has been divorced for three years, began by saying, "The marriage started with lies and ended with lies." She continued, "And then there was the infidelity. I found the other woman in our house's storage room." Both the participants and the studio MCs were shocked.
Jin-young recalled, "It was during the COVID-19 pandemic. My ex-husband called and told me to stay at my parents' house because he might have been in contact with a confirmed case. I thought it would be just for a short while, but I ended up staying at my parents' house for two months." She added, "One day, he said he had gastroenteritis, so I made porridge and told him I would bring it over, but he said it was okay. A few minutes later, he said he had already made porridge. Our house was close to my parents' house."
Jin-young continued, "When I entered the house, the door wouldn't open even though I entered the password. It was locked from the inside. I rang the bell, and after 20-30 seconds, my husband opened the door with wet pants and asked what was going on." She added, "He calmly said he was washing his pants and didn't hear the bell. I told him I brought porridge because he said he had gastroenteritis and went to the storage room to get some stuff. Suddenly, he grabbed my hand and said he had something to tell me. When I went into the storage room, there was a woman standing there."
Jin-young's story elicited sighs from all around. She said, "My ex-husband liked figurines. He said the woman came to see his figurines. But she was barefoot. Who takes off their socks when visiting someone else's house for the first time? It felt like she was very comfortable, like it was her own home."
Jin-young later reviewed CCTV footage while preparing for the divorce trial. She said, "I couldn't review all of it, but I checked about a month and a half's worth. In that time, she came and went 33 times. She even slept at our house. They probably slept together in the bed I used." The MCs expressed their anger, saying, "Oh my God," and "This is infuriating."
Jin-young revealed, "A few days after the incident, I told my mother-in-law about the situation. My ex-husband said he got scolded by his mother, but that was another lie. He was actually at a motel with the woman. I decided I couldn't take it anymore and asked for a divorce that day." Jin-young went through a year and a half of divorce proceedings. She said, "Every time I submitted a document, he would lie again."
Jin-young disclosed that the other woman was 15 years younger than her ex-husband. She added, "Even until the lawsuit ended, they consistently claimed they were not in a relationship." However, Jin-young witnessed them coming out of a motel twice.
Jin-young tearfully shared, "Both my mom and dad's health deteriorated during the lawsuit. My mom kept complaining about headaches. A brain scan revealed that her brain had shrunk due to extreme stress."
