Hong Soo-ah rejected a proposal for a Chinese conglomerate
Actress Hong Soo-ah recently showcased her wealth on the SBS variety show 'Dolsing Fourmen,' which aired on the 3rd of this month. The episode featured guests Solbi, Hong Soo-ah, and No Min-woo.
Hong Soo-ah, who revealed that she was flirted with by a Chinese tycoon, said, "He's a close friend. It was a joke he made while we were having a meal. He said, 'If you marry me, my world will be yours.' It was a joke, but it sounded like a line from a drama. It felt good even though it was a joke." However, she declined, stating, "He wasn't really my type."
Hong Soo-ah also shared a past experience of catching her boyfriend cheating. "It was when I was in my 20s. I was in China for a month filming a movie. When I returned, the boyfriend who used to pick me up every day didn't contact me. Feeling something was off, I went to his house. When I rang the doorbell, a woman opened the door thinking it was him," she recalled.
She added, "When I asked who she was, the man yelled at me, asking why I was there. He said he started dating her three days ago because I made him feel lonely. I had nothing to say."
Hong Soo-ah admitted that the incident made her lose trust in men. "I realized my judgment of men was flawed. I decided to avoid men who seemed too perfect," she said. Hong Soo-ah became the first Korean actress to star in a traditional Chinese historical drama, a project with a production cost of 20 billion KRW. "I was cast, signed the contract, and received the signing bonus, but the filming hasn't started yet. We're waiting for the situation to improve," she explained.
She added, "When I was filming dramas and movies and signing contracts, they took care of everything. I traveled back and forth to China like it was a local trip." When asked if her Chinese appearance fees were more than ten times her Korean fees, she acknowledged, "Yes, they are much higher."
Hong Soo-ah also disclosed details about her wealth. She revealed that she owns her current home and has a lot of cash. Known as the 'icon of plastic surgery,' she shared tips for those considering cosmetic procedures. "I'm not encouraging plastic surgery, but for those stressed by their complexes, it's important to go to specialized clinics for each area. Trying to do everything at once can lead to failure," she advised. "I scheduled my procedures and went accordingly," she added.
