Park Jae-hong said, "I can't get married until I'm 50 years old."
Former baseball player and commentator Park Jae-hong has turned to a matchmaking service in his quest for marriage.
On the TV Chosun variety show 'Joseon's Love Match' aired on the 2nd, the 50-year-old bachelor Park Jae-hong made an appearance.
During the episode, Park met with Shim Hyun-seop. Park expressed his envy of Shim, who found love through 'Joseon's Love Match,' and asked for a blind date. Shim, showcasing his dating coach skills, inspected Park's home, where he has lived alone for over 30 years.
Park Jae-hong shared his thoughts on why he hasn't married yet, saying, "I think I couldn't because of work, but that's just an excuse. I did date occasionally, but marriage seemed daunting." He added, "When I seriously thought about marriage, the pressure to do it well was overwhelming." Shim then accompanied Park to a matchmaking service. Shim said, "I still have some matchmaking sessions left. I'll give them to you," and assured Park, "I'm a veteran at this, so I'll guide you well." Meeting with the matchmaking service representative, Park confessed that his urgency for marriage was at 100.
When asked about his net worth excluding debts, Park revealed, "I own an apartment, have some stocks and real estate, and receive a pension." He also disclosed, "I get 1 million won monthly from my Olympic medal pension," revealing his substantial assets. Since retiring in 2013, Park has been active as a commentator and was previously rumored to have assets worth over 10 billion won.
