'Immortal Songs' is set to air the second part of its 2024 First Half Grand Finale
The 670th episode of ‘Immortal Songs,’ airing on the 31st, will feature the second part of the ‘2024 First Half Grand Finale.’
In the first part, Kim Ki-tae clinched the final victory by performing a duet with the late Kim Kwang-seok. Now, Jung Dong-ha & Ali, Heo Yong-byeol, Rocky & Bebe, Son Tae-jin, Shin Sung, Enoch, and Liberante are all vying for the last golden microphone.
The second part promises fierce competition as well. Heo Yong-byeol’s Heo Gak, part of the ‘strongest vocal combination,’ exudes confidence, saying, “Why would I be relaxed? You can tell by looking at my members.” The youngest, Liberante, adds fuel to the competitive fire by declaring, “If we weren’t going to win, we wouldn’t have come to the ‘Grand Finale.’ We’re here to break it.”
A notable highlight is the potential ‘brotherly war’ between Son Tae-jin, Shin Sung, Enoch, and Liberante. Son Tae-jin and Liberante’s Jin-won are cousins who recently appeared together in the ‘The Friends’ special of ‘Immortal Songs.’ Their shift from allies to rivals adds an intriguing layer to the competition.
The second part will feature highly anticipated performances such as Jung Dong-ha & Ali’s ‘Song of the Wind,’ Heo Yong-byeol’s ‘Snail,’ Rocky & Bebe’s ‘I Am the Best,’ Son Tae-jin, Shin Sung, & Enoch’s ‘The Brilliant Light in That Flower,’ and Liberante’s ‘Playing with Fire.’ The show will open with a performance by Forestella, the ‘six-time consecutive winners of the Grand Finale.’
The ‘Grand Finale’ of ‘Immortal Songs’ is a biannual event where past winners compete to be crowned the ‘King of Kings.’ This year’s first half finale was held at Ulsan Dongcheon Gymnasium with an audience of 3,000 and an additional 200 external staff, making it a grand-scale event.
Who will claim the top spot in the ‘2024 First Half Grand Finale’? The second part of the finale will air on KBS 2TV at 6:05 PM on the 31st, following the first part that aired on the 24th.
