Lee Sang-Yi Set to Redefine His Career with 'Don't Want to Lose'
Actor Lee Sang-Yi is poised to redefine his career with his role in 'Don't Want to Lose'.

On the 26th, the first episode of the tvN X TVING original drama 'Don't Want to Lose' aired. The series revolves around Son Hae-Young (played by Shin Min-A), who marries to avoid losses, and Kim Ji-Wook (played by Kim Young-Dae), who becomes a fake groom to avoid causing harm. Lee Sang-Yi plays Bok Kyu-Hyun, a third-generation chaebol and CEO of 'Kkulbi Education', where Son Hae-Young works. His performance has already garnered a hot response.

In the first episode, which aired yesterday (26th), Kyu-Hyun is depicted as choosing work over love. His father, Bok Ki-Ho (played by Choi Jin-Ho), becomes furious after reading an article about the declining performance of Kkulbi Education and pressures Kyu-Hyun to get married. However, Kyu-Hyun declares that he will achieve the top sales instead of getting married, showing his negative stance on love. Ki-Ho then gives him an ultimatum: "If you don't achieve the top sales within a year, you must get married."

Kyu-Hyun confides in his secretary, Yeo Ha-Jun (played by Lee Yoo-Jin), saying, "The chairman wants me to either achieve the top sales within a year or get married. What do you think? Does it seem possible?" When Ha-Jun doubts the feasibility, Kyu-Hyun reacts sharply but then asks for solutions, showcasing his sly personality and hinting at the dynamic chemistry to come.

From the first episode, Lee Sang-Yi has seamlessly embodied the witty character of 'Bok Kyu-Hyun'. Not only does he perfectly pull off a three-piece suit, but he also adds charm to the character with his tone that oscillates between seriousness and humor. His ability to swiftly change facial expressions in brief moments enhances the show's immersion, drawing attention to his future performances.

Meanwhile, the second episode of the tvN X TVING original drama 'Don't Want to Lose' will air tonight (27th) at 8:50 PM.
