Veteran Actor Kim Myung-min Shines in 'Your Honor' with Unparalleled Acting Skills

Born in 1972, actor Kim Myung-min is garnering attention for his exceptional acting skills and illustrious career.

Debuting as a 6th generation talent at SBS in 1996, Kim gradually built his reputation through various supporting roles in dramas such as 'The Rich Son', 'Soonpoong Clinic', and 'KAIST' in the early 2000s.

In 2000, he landed his first leading role in the MBC drama 'Hot Blood', earning the MBC Drama Awards' Best New Actor award, which acknowledged his acting prowess. He also ventured into films with 'Sorum' in 2001 and 'Into the Mirror' in 2003.

Kim's career took a significant turn in 2004 when he played Admiral Yi Sun-sin in the drama 'Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin'. In 2006, he showcased his versatility by playing the comedic role of gangster Oh Dal-gun in 'Bad Family' and brought laughter to many with his performance in the 'Detective K' film series.

In 2007, his role as surgeon Jang Joon-hyuk in the drama 'White Tower' is considered one of his best performances. Jang Joon-hyuk, a somewhat materialistic character, captivated audiences in an era dominated by virtuous protagonists.

In the 2008 MBC drama 'Beethoven Virus', Kim perfectly embodied the role of Kang Mae, a harsh yet warm-hearted conductor, winning the Grand Prize at the Korea Drama Awards and the MBC Drama Awards.
