BTS's Jin Transforms into a Chef on a Deserted Island in 'If You Rest, It's a Relief'

On the 19th, MBC's variety show 'If You Rest, It's a Relief' (hereafter referred to as 'Rest Relief') will feature world star BTS's Jin, 'CEO Ahn' Ahn Jung-hwan, Kim Nam-il, B1A4's Sandeul, and chefs Lee Yeon-bok and Lee Hong-woon as they operate a 0.5-star deserted island. In the studio, Boom, Kim Dae-ho, and Park Myung-soo will watch and discuss their adventures.
On this day, Ahn Jung-hwan mentions, "We have invited a special guest," and emphasizes the need to create a top-notch feast. Consequently, chefs Lee Yeon-bok and Lee Hong-woon, along with BTS's Jin, step up as chefs.
Jin takes on the challenge of making 'mulhoe' (a Korean cold raw fish soup). Known for his interest in cooking and having received personal lessons from Chef Lee Yeon-bok, Jin showcases his hidden culinary skills by expertly handling ingredients and making seasoning without measurements. Jin confidently states, "Mulhoe never fails," raising curiosity about whether his dish will captivate the guests' taste buds. Additionally, Jin plans to prepare another hidden menu with the remaining ingredients, heightening anticipation.
Meanwhile, chefs Lee Yeon-bok and Lee Hong-woon use seafood to create 'gochujapchae' (spicy stir-fried vegetables) and 'flower buns.' The handmade flower buns, rarely seen even in Chinese restaurants, impress everyone on the deserted island. The taste of the island-style gochujapchae and handmade flower buns presented by Chef Lee and his son piques curiosity.
Furthermore, Jin not only showcases his world-class cooking skills but also his world-class eating skills. Having experienced gourmet food from around the globe, Jin's genuine reactions to the 5-star dishes on the 0.5-star deserted island are highly anticipated.
'If You Rest, It's a Relief,' featuring BTS's Jin's cooking skills and food tasting on a 0.5-star deserted island, airs today (19th) at 9 PM.
