56-year-old Yang Jun-hyeok becomes a father "Wife is 16 weeks pregnant"

The couple Yang Jun-hyeok and Park Hyeon-seon announced that they are pregnant.

On the SBS entertainment show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereafter referred to as 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2') aired on the 12th, Yang Jun-hyeok and Park Hyun-sun announced their pregnancy.

Yang Jun-hyuk, who turned 56 this year, announced that he is becoming a father-to-be, saying, "I have a big announcement." The couple, who got married in 2021 and are in their fourth year this year, have an age difference of 19 years.

Yang Jun-hyeok said, "It's really different to have a child in your mid-50s. My baby's name is Pal-pal. Having a baby was like a dream. I cried when I found out I was pregnant. I was so happy," and Park Hyun-sun explained, "While thinking about a baby's name, I thought the number 88 had a meaning for us, so we named him 'Pal-pal.' My husband was born in '88, and I was born in '88."

Yang Joo-hyuk continued, "To be honest, I wasn't worried about having a child, but as time went by, I became anxious. During that anxious time, my wife suggested that we try IVF. At first, I stubbornly refused. I was practically dragged to the hospital. But now that I think about it, it was a stroke of genius."

Park Hyun-sun recalled, "Thankfully, I got pregnant with a child in just one IVF session. Since the ultrasound didn't confirm it right away right after the IVF session, I checked the fetal position the following week. The ultrasound showed that there were two fetal positions. The whole family was surprised." However, she miscarried one of the children in the eighth week of pregnancy. Park Hyun-sun said, "I could hear one child's heartbeat very clearly, but I could only hear the other child occasionally. The doctor encouraged me by saying that even though I miscarried one child, it wouldn't affect the other child." Park Hyun-sun confessed, "It was so good to have two children at once, but I feel regretful and sad. I should have kept it because I'm healthy, but I just thought I should have one more and let it go."

As she approaches the 16th week of pregnancy, the time has come to find out the gender. Before going to the hospital, Park Hyun-sun said, "I hope it's a boy. I want to make Yang Jun-hyeok Jr. a baseball player. I'm thinking of making the mobile in the shape of a baseball."

Yang Jun-hyeok, who said it doesn't matter whether it's a son or a daughter, said, "If it's a son, you should train him physically and raise him to be a baseball player. You should make him think from the moment he's born, 'He's destined to play baseball.'" He said he plans to have his daughter become a singer like her mother or do whatever she wants. During the ultrasound, the doctor indirectly mentioned that it was a son by saying, "I see something. He's handsome."
