Park Chul considered whether to let his mother move into Silvertown
Actor Park Chul appeared on MBN's 'Let's Go' and showed his extreme filial piety towards his mother.
The pre-released video for episode 8 of season 2 of MBN's reality variety show 'Let's Go' showed actor Park Chul going to Silvertown with the MCs.
In the released video, the MCs conducted interviews with Silvertown residents. The MCs asked the residents, “Have you prepared for retirement? How are you paying Silvertown fees?” and the residents responded, “I haven’t prepared much for retirement, but I have prepared some, and my children save up and pay for the expenses.”
Another resident who was present said, “My eldest son is paying the expenses.” When the MCs asked, “Do you feel any burden?”, he replied, “I worked hard when I was young and raised my children, so I don’t feel that burden.”
Upon hearing this, Park Chul replied, “There are many people who are not good to their parents even if they raise them well,” and then asked the resident, “Can your child live nearby and take care of them?” He also showed active interest in Silvertown by suddenly visiting the production team and asking, “Can I see the penthouse and the two-room before I leave here?”
After hearing Park Chul's story, the MCs were perplexed and asked, "Do you want to move into Silvertown?" Park Chul answered, "I would like to move in if I can take care of my mother." He added, "If my mother and my needs match, I would like to move into Silvertown. My mother is 92 years old, and if she moves into Silvertown, she will be far from the church she used to go to. Then I think I can just go on weekends." In fact, he showed his filial piety towards his mother by actively showing interest, such as looking around the Silvertown room after the meal, and everyone was amazed.
