Insooni confessed that she had never seen her father.

Singer Insooni appeared on tvN STORY's 'Now, This Moment', which aired on the 4th.

Park Jin-young, who is considered one of Korea's representative producers, introduced the legendary singer through the video, saying, "It's the first time I've heard an Asian person sing like that" and "A singer who stimulates the competitive spirit because not only the song but also the performance is perfect." The legendary singer was Insooni.

Before embarking on a full-fledged musical journey, Insooni's home in Seongsu-dong was revealed. Insooni was living a leisurely and peaceful life in a house overlooking the Seoul Forest and the Han River. Insooni said, "If you go down, you're right at Seoul Forest. It's nice because there's a forest and you can get to the river right away."

There was also Insooni’s hobby room. Insooni revealed the reason for drawing in her hobby room, saying, “I asked my friend, ‘I like umbrellas, so please draw me a picture,’ but he didn’t draw. So I started drawing.” There were various paintings drawn by Insooni here, and the painting containing longing for and forgiveness for her father especially attracted attention.

Insooni recalled the moment she went from being a teenage country girl to becoming a singer. Insooni, who stood out in a closed society in the 1970s, is said to have started performing to make money due to family circumstances. Then, one day, she was selected by Korea's first female manager Han Baek-hee, a former singer in the U.S. 8th Army and known as Kim Wan-sun's aunt, and she debuted as a member of the girl group Hee Sisters. Han Baek-hee, along with Insooni, also discovered Lee Young-sook and Kim Jae-hee. After undergoing rigorous training with them, Insooni debuted as a member of Hee Sisters and gained great popularity with ‘Silvers.’

Insooni recalled the moment when he stood at a crossroads in his career as a singer. In 1996, Insooni, 19 years after her debut, felt the limitations of society's gaze as a dance singer and considered turning into a trot singer. At this time, her junior Park Jin-young produced an album just for Insooni, allowing her to continue her brilliant career as a dance singer once again.

Insooni revealed that she has never seen her father. In 2011, Insooni appeared on MBC's 'I Am a Singer' after the producer's persistent recruitment, and won first place by selecting the song 'Father', which she hated the most at the time. Insooni's little-known song 'Father' became a hot topic.

Insooni recalled, "'Father' came out in 2009, but I kept running away saying I wouldn't sing it. How can I sing if the words 'mother' or 'father' are in it? It makes no sense. I said I could never sing this song." He then revealed the reason for choosing the song, saying, "It's not known, but I thought it would be nice to sing this song. It's a song that's close to my heart and I wanted to try a song that I didn't want to sing." He also confessed, "In fact, I have never seen my father. I have never seen his back. I have never felt the emotions between a father and his children. All I saw of my father was in TV dramas." My American father, a war veteran, had no choice but to leave for his home country after the Korean War. Insooni said, "I had to sing about a person who was in my imagination or about whom I had no feelings whatsoever. I don't think the relationship between me and my father was as pleasant as others thought, but if I were to sing this, I would have to sing, but my personal things would be included. “I really didn’t want to do it because I didn’t want to be judged like that,” he said.
