DAY6's Young K wants to surpass JYP and Teddy in copyright fees

Day6's Young K showed off his strong desire to produce.

Day6 appeared as a guest on JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers', which aired on the 22nd, and spoke.

Lee Soo-geun surprised those around him by explaining, "There are many copyright-rich people in our country. Young K is the top one among them." Young K denied it and said, “No.” Kim Hee-chul asked, “Is it more than Park Jin-young and Teddy?”

There was a story about Hikey's 'roses blooming between buildings' (hereinafter referred to as 'dry sandpaper'). This song is a K-pop gift from Young K. Lee Soo-geun said, “I did a lot of backwards songs.” Young K said, "I felt strange. 'Geonsapijang' was written a long time ago, in 2021, before I even enlisted. I wrote the lyrics before the group called Hi-Key even existed," and added, "I got loved thanks to meeting the owner well. “It’s the same,” he explained.

Young K said, “I don’t think I’m at the top of Korea.” Kim Hee-chul said, "I've seen you on TV a lot. Last time, you said, 'I'm T.O.P.' and 'I'm better than JYP hyung and Teddy hyung.'" he said, embarrassing Young K.

Dowoon said, “That’s right. It’s like that at the dorm too.” Young K showed his will, saying, "I can't make my past a lie. I will live hard and make it the truth."

When asked if other members also produce, Day6 answered yes. Seongjin added, “Young K is almost entirely in charge of writing lyrics.”

Dowoon suddenly asked, “How did you see Sangmin?” Kang Ho-dong said, “Do-woon takes care of Sang-min when we don’t either.” Sangmin jokingly said, “I found Dowoon the most attractive.”

He said, “I fell into such moist memories.” The members of ‘Knowing Bros’ burst out laughing, saying, “Why are you suddenly falling into memories while recording?” and “Go home and forget the memories.” Lee Sang-min spoke uprightly.

Lee Sang-min revealed his true story, saying, "My first singer was originally in a mixed band. But things didn't go as planned. In the end, my first band debut failed." Seo Jang-hoon made Dowoon laugh by saying, "Sang-min doesn't have to worry. Sang-min has a lot of work. He's resting here."
