Kim Gura, who paid off 1.7 billion won in debt, confesses to depression

Broadcaster Kim Gura confessed to depression.

In Channel A's 'Dad is a Middle-aged Flower' broadcast on the 20th, a scene unfolded where five flower daddies with a 'total age of 298' began to undergo health examinations and felt aging.

On this day, Kim Gu-ra was asked, 'Have you ever felt that the joy of life has diminished?' He answered, "Apart from having a child, I don't have much joy. In the past, I was excited when I made money."

In an interview with the production crew, he also said, "I seem very energetic on TV, but I feel a little depressed. In the past, I had panic attacks due to housework. Now, I am in the early stages of depression. I took medicine quickly, so I didn't experience a panic attack."

He continued, "I feel better these days because I have more time at work thanks to Soohyun (my oldest daughter). After I got married and had a child, things got a lot better. But I'm worried about depression."

Kim Gura divorced his wife in 2015 after a conflict over debt issues. At that time, Kim Gu-ra paid off a huge debt of about 1.7 billion won owed by his ex-wife. Afterwards, in 2020, she remarried a non-celebrity 12 years younger than her and gave birth to her last child, a daughter.

He also expressed his concerns about retirement. Kim Gu-ra said, "How much do you think my retirement age is? Coming to this stage, getting over 60 is not easy. I plan to do my best for just 6 years and then retire."
