Park Chan-sook's business goes bankrupt after her husband's death

Basketball coach Park Chan-sook looked back on her difficult past, from financial difficulties due to business failure to her husband's death from cancer.

Basketball legend coach Park Chan-sook and his daughter, actress Seo Hyo-myeong, appeared on Channel A's 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center', which aired on the 13th.

Park Chan-sook is a person who wrote the history of Korean basketball by winning the first silver medal in the history of Korean ball games with his tall height of 190 cm and excellent skills. Recently, Park Chan-sook took charge of the women's professional basketball team and led it to a championship just one year after its founding. Seo Hyo-myeong got married last year and is living a newlywed life.

On this day, Seo Hyo-myeong called herself 'Mama's Girl', saying that even at the age of 37, she relies on her mother Park Chan-sook. Dr. Eunyoung Oh explained that children who remain dependent on their parents even after becoming adults are called ‘Zara syndrome.’

When Dr. Oh Eun-young said that her perspective on her own life and her daughter's life seemed to be different, Chan-sook Park confessed to the difficult times she had in the past due to business failure and bankruptcy. He started a business at the recommendation of a friend he met through a relative and even made an investment, but it went bankrupt. Park Chan-sook, who had even mortgaged her parents' house at the time, ended up going bankrupt, racking up 1.2 billion won in debt.

Park Chan-sook said, "Once I thought about not breathing in this world," and "I was afraid to sleep, and I was so scared when I opened my eyes," and even revealed that she had extreme thoughts.

Seo Hyo-myeong, who was a college student at the time, said she only found out about her mother's bankruptcy and her father's battle with cancer later. Seo Hyo-myeong, who spent the last year of her life caring for her father, also confessed her guilt and longing for her father. Park Chan-sook, who had to take responsibility for her family's livelihood and hospital expenses, confessed that she worked so busily that she had no time to grieve for fear that her father's absence would hurt the children.

Dr. Oh Eun-young advised that Park Chan-sook possessed all four elements of a successful talent: activeness, initiative, responsibility, and sincerity, but family life was something that had to be discussed and thought about together. It doesn't say anything about why Seo Hyo-myeong became 'Mama's Girl', and even diagnosed that it may be due to the vague anxiety she feels while watching her mother cry alone.
