Seo Hyo-rim confessed her emotional distress caused by a premarital pregnancy.

Seo Hyo-rim married Kim Soo-mi's son, Myung-ho Jeong, in 2019. Seo Hyo-rim, who met her mother-in-law, Kim Soo-mi, as mother and daughter in a drama, said, "We got along comfortably," and "(without knowing that they would become father-in-law), we drank together, talked about ex-boyfriends, and became like friends." Seo Hyo-rim said of her mother-in-law, "She is usually the queen of domestic support," and "she films until the morning and prepares all the meals for us."
Seo Hyo-rim said about her quick marriage with Jung Myung-ho, "I suddenly had Joy (a daughter) without even having time to get to know her seriously. We got married three months after we met." Seo Hyo-rim's father said his daughter was an idiot. Seo Hyo-rim recalled, "My parents found out about my marriage through an article. My dad didn't even call me. My heart broke."

Seo Hyo-rim's mother also confessed, "To be honest, my father (husband) didn't want me to marry that person. Since my mother-in-law is also an actress, I wanted her to go to an ordinary person and live a normal life." Seo Hyo-rim's father said, "I met my in-laws for the first time in the waiting room of the wedding hall."

Seo Hyo-rim's father said that at first he didn't think his granddaughter was pretty, but now they are doing well.
At the time of the wedding, the guests on the husband's side were glamorous, including celebrities and members of the National Assembly, but Seo Hyo-rim's father's acquaintances were not invited. Seo Hyo-rim's father shed tears, saying, "I was biased. Since I was marrying into a celebrity family, I had to give up my seat as a guest. I didn't like it. I was disappointed because of the number of guests and the fact that I felt like I was being pushed out a little."
Seo Hyo-rim expressed her regret, saying, "I still remember that I couldn't tell my dad, 'If you want someone to call, call me.' I just told him that there weren't enough seats. I thought I made a mistake. None of my dad's friends could come."
