Kim Soo-chan revealed that he has currently lost contact with his father.
Singer Kim Soo-chan appeared as a guest on KBS2's 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together Season 3' (hereinafter referred to as 'Let's Live Together'), which aired on the 30th.
Kim Soo-chan revealed his relationship with Hye-eun. Kim Soo-chan, who was discharged from the military last year, said, "I worked as a social service agent and commuted to and from work. I often contacted him and even celebrated his birthday." Hye-eun expressed her affection for Kim Soo-chan, saying, “I have a lot of affection for him,” and “I feel for him because we contact him often, and I can’t help but feel pretty.”
When asked how he started singing, Kim Soo-chan said, "When I was a freshman in high school, I sang Nam Jin's 'Nest' as a congratulatory song for my homeroom teacher. The principal saw me sing and recommended me, so I went to the Incheon Youth Song Festival that year. “I sang Namjin’s ‘Nayana’ and later won the grand prize at the ‘National Singing Contest.’”
Kim Soo-chan gathered more fans by appearing on 'Mr. Trot'. Kim Soo-chan laughed, saying, “After I went on ‘Mr. Trot,’ my salary went up a lot. About 4 to 5 times. I don’t get paid as much as I expected.” He also said, "I receive pocket money and spend it. My mom manages my income. What I feel when drinking with friends is that in the past, I drank while calculating the price, but now I say, 'Eat as much as you want.'" He joked, “But I still get pocket money to spend, so I’m breaking up with friends who order me liquor.”
Kim Soo-chan revealed his family history, saying that his parents divorced a long time ago. He said, "It's been over 10 years since my parents divorced. I don't have any contact with my father at all. They divorced when I was in middle school. We contacted each other right after that. After I started singing, we started interacting. But after that, many things happened. He explained, “I naturally distanced myself from him and am currently not in contact with him.”
Kim Soo-chan said, "My mom gave birth to me when I was 20, so I'm still young. Now, my mom is like a friend to me. I call my mom by her name. I changed my title after I became an adult."
