Was ‘Queen of Tears’ Jang Yoon-ju always this good at acting?
Jang Yoon-ju plays the role of Baek Mi-seon, the older sister of Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) and K-eldest daughter, in the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Queen of Tears' (written by Park Ji-eun / directed by Jang Young-woo and Kim Hee-won), and is loved by viewers for her passionate performance that is completely integrated with the character.
In the play, Jang Yoon-ju is a wild goose mother who sent her younger husband and son to study abroad, and not only shows off her presence as an indispensable character by running the Queens Hair Salon in Yongduri and serving as a love room for the residents, but also shows off her presence as Baek Hyun-woo and Baek Hyun-tae (played by Kim Do-hyun). They are showing real-life sibling chemistry by performing the delightful tiki-taka.

It was a scene where you could fully feel the heart of the eldest daughter, Mi-seon, who rolled up her sleeves for anything that was for the sake of her family and home.

As the drama's popularity increases day by day, Jang Yoon-joo's slyness is also reaching its peak. Mi-seon tried to call her husband, who had been sent abroad to study, but when she heard the voice of an unfamiliar foreign woman on the phone instead of her husband's, she foresaw divorce and burst into tears. Mi-seon, who barely knew how to spell, was depicted feeling humiliated by the question “How are you?” as she inevitably recited “I’m fine thank you, and you?” Although it was a short scene, Jang Yoon-joo made viewers laugh by portraying Baek Mi-seon, who suffers from English depression, paying attention to details such as her facial expression that changes every moment, her empty eyes, and her bursting into tears with a faint smile.
In this way, Jang Yoon-ju not only steals the attention by showing 100% synchronization with the character through the right comedy acting and delicious licorice role, but also explodes chemistry with Yongduri and her in-laws, regular customers of the hair salon, and Queens salon keeper Pinky, showing a presence that cannot be hidden. It's radiating.
