JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'I'm Not a Hero' released a still cut of Joo-ju (played by Jang Ki-yong), who wants to return to happy times, on the 9th. 'I'm Not a Hero' is a fantasy romance in which a man with extraordinary abilities but who could not save anyone finally saves a destined woman. It depicts in a pleasant and touching way the story of a woman who becomes intertwined as fate with a family of superpowers who have lost rare abilities due to a chronic modern disease.
Director Cho Hyun-tak, who showed off his unrivaled direction in the drama 'SKY Castle', took the lead, and writer Joo Hwa-mi, who boasted relatable storytelling through 'Marriage, Not Dating', took charge of writing. Next, writer Kang Eun-kyung, who is trusted by the public with 'Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim', participates as a creator to improve the level of completion. The synergy between trustworthy actors such as Jang Ki-yong, Chun Woo-hee, Go Doo-shim, and Su-hyeon, who will maximize the character's charm, is also raising expectations.
There is a lot of interest as this is Jang Ki-yong's first comeback after being discharged from the military. He was fully discharged from the 15th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army in February of last year. Still cuts of the 'Return Week' character arouse curiosity about Jang Ki-yong's unique transformation. First, the atmosphere of returnism, a time traveler who lost his 'time slip' ability due to depression, attracts attention. Returning weeks allow time travel only to happy moments. On the other hand, since you can't change the past, there's nothing you can do other than dwell on your own happiness. The reason Gokhwaju became a firefighter was because he wanted to use his abilities to save someone. Jang Ki-yong, who said that the script of this work was as interesting as the title 'I'm Not a Hero', said, "The setting of 'a story of a family with superpowers who lost their abilities due to a modern-day disease' was refreshing," and added, "I started working with a good production team even before filming. “I was looking forward to it. It’s been a long time since I worked on it, so I went into it with half excitement and half anticipation,” he said. He continued, "It is a work about supernatural powers, but it is also a story about family. It will bring laughter and emotion, so please look forward to it."
‘I’m Not a Hero’ will premiere on the 4th of next month at 10:30 PM.
